Notorious fashionista Sophia Bush was surprisingly MIA from this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week — but don’t worry, she had a good reason! “We’re shooting episode six [of One Tree Hill] and Sophia is directing it, which is why she can’t be here in New York,” co-star Shantel VanSanten told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Sept. 11 during the Jill Stuart show at NYC’s Lincoln Center.

This will be the second episode of One Tree Hill Sophia directed. The first was a season even episode titled “Now You Lift Your Eyes To The Sun.”

But Sophia getting another turn behind the camera isn’t the ONLY good news Shantel shared with us!

Though The CW only ordered 14 episodes of One Tree Hill for its eighth season, Shantel told us there’s a good chance it’ll get picked up for a full 22!

“In October we’ll find out if we’re doing a full season,” she said. “We think we’re getting a full order.” (Source)

Mark Schwahn spoke to TV Guide about what to expect this season on “One Tree Hill”. Wondering what’s going on with Brooke? Read on!

Brooke gets to be in love for good. Brooke Davis is no stranger to heartbreak. She was on the losing end of the love triangle with Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton), she never had a strong bond with her parents, and she was physically attacked in Season 6. But Schwahn says that she’s finally found her way in her relationship with Julian (Austin Nichols). “Last year we threw a wrench into that, but they overcame that and I want to respect the fact that they did. So whatever obstacles befall Brooke in Season 8 … [she'll] face those with Julian by her side,” he says.

‘One Tree Hill’ Star Sophia Bush Talks Twitter and the Continuing Crisis in the Gulf

Last week, we threw the spotlight on a number of CW actors who are dedicated to making a difference to our world through charitable contributions and random acts of kindness. One such star was Sophia Bush, the vivacious actress who has portrayed Brooke Davis through seven seasons of ‘One Tree Hill’.

Previously wary of social media and its lack of privacy, Bush has recently joined the Twitter revolution and started her own blog in order to communicate with fans and share her inspiring passion for environmentalism and humanitarian aid.

TV Squad recently caught up with Bush to learn more about the charitable foundation she holds close to her heart, and to discover the ways in which we can all contribute to making the world a greener, cleaner place.

In today’s celebrity-obsessed culture, many actors wisely shy away from inviting more scrutiny into their lives through social networking, and up until recently, Bush was one of them. “I had no real interest in participating in any of that social media stuff, because I didn’t see the point in telling people what I was having for lunch or what bar I was going to,” she explained. “For me, it seemed that most of the people on Twitter were discussing things that I thought were irrelevant.”

But the 28-year-old had an abrupt change of heart during her initial visit to the devastated Gulf Coast in the wake of the BP oil spill — especially considering that what Bush has to say is extremely relevant.
