1 Were You Named After Anyone? I was named after Sophia Loren. My father is a photographer, and when I was born he was frequently doing photoshoots with her. Both of my parents adore her, and loved her spunk, elegance, and unique femininity. Plus it’s a very traditional Italian name. They wanted to honor my heritage, and inspire those qualities in me. I loved hearing as a child that I was named after such a special lady.

2 Do You Like Your Own Handwriting? Actually, I’m not really a fan of my handwriting. My mother has the most gorgeous penmanship I’ve ever seen, and my writing is more of a chicken scratch. I generally write in all capital letters so that people stand a chance!

3 What Would Your Superpower be if you could choose one? It’s a tie for me. I’d love to be able to fly, so that I could get anywhere in an instant, and have a zero carbon footprint when I travel. But I’d also love it if I never had to sleep. Can you imagine what could be done if you could use all 24 hours in every day!?

One Tree Hill‘s ninth and final season will kick off Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 8/7c.

The CW series will welcome back some familiar faces during its 13-episode swan song, including original cast member Chad Michael Murray, Allison Munn as Miss Lauren, Scott Holroyd as Quinn’s ex-hubby David and Devin McGee as Brooke’s Season 6 attacker, Xavier.

On Jan. 18, Tree Hill will be followed by the debut of Remodeled, a reality series featuring Paul Fisher, a modeling industry veteran who’s trying to bring together smaller agencies into a new venture called The Network. (Source)

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Third time’s the charm for a die-hard “One Tree Hill” fan whose quest was to meet star Sophia Bush despite cerebral palsy.

On her third trip from Cleveland, OH, to Wilmington to watch the filming of “One Tree Hill,” Melissa Fowler finally met Bush. When told of Fowler’s love of the show and of her, Bush walked from the “Karen’s Café” set downtown to meet and sign a couple autographs for Fowler.

“Just everything she does on Crowdrise and all the environmental work she does and she seems like a really great person and someone who really cares about people and about everything in the world it’s just… I’ve never seen anyone like her,” Fowler said of her idol.

The cast and crew are working on the ninth and final season of “One Tree Hill.” Shooting is scheduled to wrap up later this month.

“One Tree Hill” will soon be history, but before the cast wraps up its ninth and final season in Wilmington, they will spend some time with their loyal fans in a special Q&A session.

The event “An Evening with One Tree Hill” will feature all the regular cast members from the current season and show creator Mark Schwann, according to OTH co-producer Steve Goldfried. It’s scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Beckwith Recital Hall at UNCW’s Cultural Arts Building.

Goldfried says tickets will be very limited for the small venue. He says there will be about 100 tickets available to the general public for $50 each. About 75 tickets for UNCW students in the arts disciplines will be available for $10, Goldfried said. He said tickets should go on sale later this week.

Cast members scheduled to appear are James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Shantel VanSanten, Paul Johansson, Jackson Brundage, Lisa Goldstein, Lee Norris, Antwon Tanner, Stephen Colletti and Tyler Hilton.

Brooke Davis may have spent the past three years fighting to get a baby on One Tree Hill, but in real life, Sophia Bush isn’t in quite as much of a rush. HollyBaby.com caught up with Sophia on Sept. 9 at the Rebecca Taylor show during New York Fashion Week, and she told us that working with her on-set twins can get pretty exhausting. ”It’s certainly the world’s best birth control to work with two eight-month-olds,” she told us. “There’s no part of me that wants to be a mom anytime soon.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean she isn’t having a ball getting to play Brooke as a mom.

“They’re amazing!” she said of the babies playing Brooke and Julian’s (Austin Nichols) twins. “One of the babies is played by our first AD’s son, who I’ve known his whole life. He just started walking last week, and it felt like one of my kids was walking. The other baby is the cutest little potato, I love him.”

She continued: “I’m a very maternal person, and I really try to be the one taking care of the babies on set. That way, I’m the one they reach for when we’re filming and they’re not distracted by the camera equipment.”

And it sounds like Sophia’s on-screen hubby Austin is slipping into the dad role pretty nicely, too.

“Austin’s sister has two kids, so he’s got two nieces and a nephew,” Sophia explained. “He’s used to it. He’s been dealing with babies for six years now with his sister. He’s A-OK.” (Source)

Fashionista Sophia Bush dresses for herself, but she still gets the seal of approval on her style from her boyfriend Austin Nichols.

“I dress for me,” the One Tree Hill starlet told me backstage Thursday at the BCBG Max Azria show. “I don’t dress for men and I don’t dress for other women. But there’s a certain head nod [that he does] and I’m like ‘OK, I nailed it!”

The actress jetted to NYC sans her costar beau straight from the show’s set in North Carolina and managed to look very fresh-faced despite the fact that she’d just landed in the city at 5:30 a.m.

The jet-setting starlet says the key to surviving Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is to remember that this is all fun.

“I think the biggest must have for fashion week is being a little carefree about it,” she told me. “It’s fun. It’s a party. It’s an exceptional thing to be a part of. I’m already coveting things that I’m seeing on people already. It’s fun! If you take it too seriously, I think we’d all crumble under pressure.” (Source)
