Brooke has daddy (and baby) issues:
“You’re going to meet someone who’s really relevant to Brooke’s life who you’ve been wanting to meet for a long time,” Sophia Bush tells us. “You’re [also] seeing Brooke and Julian with babies. Infants are really hard to deal with on set, so we have kids now who are pretty close to a year playing a little younger than they are. The babies are amazing. They just sit there looking at us everyday, and I think, ‘You’re the best babies ever.’ It’s good.”

Sophia Bush is a freaking goddess. Let’s just get that out there. And by the end of the night, had proved why she is the show’s sweetheart. Not only is Brooke one of the most relatable and loving characters, but Sophia puts everything she has into her. And as she teared up talking about her season 9 experience (she directs the penultimate episode), we all teared up with her. The whole theater was bawling. Literally.

“She’s taught me a lot,” Sophia said about Brooke. She was especially happy to see Brooke finally have children with Julian. “It was a beautiful journey to see that through with her,” she said. “The hardest day I ever had was when Brooke found out she couldn’t have kids. I never cried like that in my life. That stayed with me for a really long time.”

Working on a TV series produced in Wilmington, “One Tree Hill” cast members have settled into routines and cultivated favorite places like any other Port City resident.

Local clothing stores, coffee shops and restaurants are among the places the stars of the series have popped up over the years.

“I don’t know what I’m going to be without Tower 7,” Sophia Bush said.

Ditto for Austin Nichols, who is dating Bush in real life. He also frequents Flaming Amy’s, Brasserie du Soleil, Lovey’s and Tidal Creek.

Bush said she’ll miss the personal service from places such as Lighthouse Beer & Wine.

“They know to call me when they get certain obscure beers in,” she said. “I’ll miss things like that. It’s a very special town.”

Schwahn says season nine is his favorite ever, and there is a lot of “old-school One Tree Hill” throughout the 13 episodes. But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of crazy new drama to experience. “It’s different and intense,” Bush said. “We got to do exciting things and go outside the box.” And how. In the first few moments of the season premiere there’s a fire, a gun, a couple at the point of breaking up, someone in the back of a cop car and someone taking lots of anger out on inanimate objects.
